1. Navigating to the Blog Section
Access the Dashboard: From your main website management page, locate the left-hand sidebar.
Select Blog: Click on the Blog icon, then select Posts from the sub-menu.
2. Creating a New Post
Add Post: Click the blue Add Post button in the top right corner of the dashboard.
Enter Title: Type your article's headline in the Title field (e.g., "Post vs Page in SDP Platform: What's the Difference?").
3. Adding Content
Upload Media: Use the Upload Media button if you want to include images directly within the post body.
Paste/Write Content: Use the text editor to add your article content.
Tip: The editor automatically maintains formatting if you copy content from other sources like Google Docs or Word.
Save Initial Draft: Click Submit at the bottom of the page to save your work and move to the details configuration.
4. Configuring Post Details & SEO
Once you submit the initial content, you will be taken to the Post Details tab to optimize the post for search engines:
URL Slug: Ensure the slug is clean and descriptive (e.g., post-vs-page-in-sdp-platform).
Meta Description: Write a brief summary of the post to help search engines understand the content.
Featured Image: Click Featured Image to select or upload a main image from your Media Library that will represent the post on your blog feed.
Verification: Look for the green checkmark to confirm the platform has saved your changes.
5. Organizing with Categories
To keep your blog structured, you can assign your post to a specific topic:
Select Category: In the Post Summary sidebar on the right, click the Edit (pencil) icon next to Category.
Choose Topic: Select an existing category (e.g., "Resources" or "Tutorials") from the dropdown and click Submit.
Note: You can manage or add new categories under the "Categories" tab in the main Blog sidebar.
6. Publishing Your Post
Go Live: When your content and SEO details are ready, click the black Publish button (with the animated yellow dot) in the top right corner.
Preview: Once published, a URL will be generated at the top of the page. You can click this or use the Preview button to see how the post looks on your live site.
