Try it on your website
Choose a website, then open the page or post you want to improve.
Opens in a new tab. Sign in if needed, then choose your website.
Open Internal Links from the content editor
Start an internal-link suggestion run
Open the content you want to improve
For a post, go to Blog → Posts and open the post. See How to add and publish a blog post if you need the full posting workflow. For a page, go to Pages, open the page and edit the rich-text content you want to improve. The pages guide covers creating and editing pages. Internal-link suggestions work from the content currently open in the editor.
Open the AI Helper
Open the Content tab or the editable rich-text field. Select AI Helper, then choose Internal Links. The suggestion panel opens without changing your content. For the underlying semantic workflow, read how SDP Platform’s AI internal linking works.
Check the content first
Make sure the page or post has clear, useful body copy. Suggestions need natural phrases that can become anchor text. Save important content edits before starting a new run.
Configure the suggestion run
Generate and review suggestions
Choose the prompt template
Use the applied SEO prompt unless your team has created a more suitable template. Read the prompt so you know the maximum number of suggestions and the quality rules it applies.
Limit the search when useful
Under Category IDs, select one or more categories when links should come from a focused topic area. Leave the field blank to consider all eligible pages and posts.
Check embedding coverage
Review the coverage indicator before generating. Better coverage gives the AI more relevant candidate pages. If many published items are pending, use Run Embedding or ask the website owner to enable automatic embedding under Advanced → AI Usage.
Generate suggestions
Select Generate Now. Review each proposed target, anchor text, relevance and explanation. Accept only links that genuinely help the reader; skip repetitive, forced or weak suggestions.
Confirm the inserted links
After accepting suggestions, read the edited paragraphs in context. Check that each anchor is natural, points to the intended page and is not placed inside a heading. Save the content when the result is correct.
Review links from and to the content
Verify and maintain interlinking
Review outgoing links
Open the Internal Links tab and select Links From Page. Confirm the target URL, anchor text and Internal status for every accepted link.
Check incoming links
Select Links to Page to see which other pages or posts point to this content. A healthy content library has useful paths in both directions, especially for important service, product and guide pages. If you are unsure where content belongs, compare posts and pages in SDP Platform.
Preview before publishing
Open Preview and test each new link. Confirm that links reach the right live or preview destination and that the edited paragraph still reads naturally.
Use Reset Links carefully
Reset Links is a maintenance action, not a normal tutorial step. Do not use it simply to reject one suggestion. Review or edit individual links instead, and only reset when you understand what will be rebuilt.
Check your progress
You can generate contextual internal-link suggestions for a page or post, accept only useful links, and verify outgoing and incoming links before publishing.
If you get stuck
No relevant suggestions? Improve the body copy, widen the category scope or increase embedding coverage. Wrong anchor? Skip the suggestion or edit the paragraph manually. A target is missing? Confirm that it is published and embedded. The AI action is unavailable? Check website permissions and AI usage with the owner.
Try this with AI
Replace the example website and page with your own before sending.
On [website name], review [page or post URL] for internal-link opportunities. Suggest relevant targets and natural anchor text, explain why each link helps the reader, and make no changes until I approve them.
